What is Ayurveda?
Ayurveda is a holistic healing system from ancient India that works in tandem with its
sister science yoga, to restore and maintain balance in your mind-body. Although Ayurvedic
principles are rooted in the classical Vedic era, its timeless roots are translated in a modern
voice making it practical, relatable, and something that’s actually fun to implement. Ayurveda
combines food and nutrition, yoga and movement, herbs and lifestyle practices to awaken us to
our true nature and well-being, inspiring us to develop a loving and healthy relationship with who
we are at our cores.
What does the workshop include?
Together we will skim the surface of the ocean of Ayurveda. We will lay down the
foundations of this nature-based holistic system, leaving you with a general understanding of
Ayurveda, perhaps cutting through any misconceptions. We will emphasize Ayurveda’s
importance and function specifically in relation to yoga and nutrition. This is an educational and
immersive workshop, as we will apply its wisdom in a Tridoshic yoga flow. You will discover what
your Ayurvedic constitution is, and leave with a shared awareness of how to find and maintain
balance through various stages and seasons of life. There will be a light snack provided.
Meet Ashley
Ashley is a yoga teacher at Cedar and Sage Wellness Studio, Ayurvedic wellness
counselor, and holistic personal chef. Her down-to-earth approach to health inspires her
community to eat, move, and live in a well-nourished and realistic manner. She guides people to
